Sensor readings (fill levels, timestamps)
No sensitive personal data (health, financial, etc.) is collected.

We use the collected data to:

Track user rewards
Update bin fill levels in real time
Display analytics in the municipal dashboard
Improve accuracy of the system and alerts
Maintain system security

3. Data Storage

All data is stored securely in the cloud database (e.g., MongoDB). Only authorized system components such as the app server and authentication server can access this data.

User information is not shared with third parties except:

Municipal officers who need access to bin statuses
Partnered stores for validating reward redemptions (No personal details are shared with stores—only coin totals or redemption statuses.)

Users can view their account details
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request account deletion (for real systems; optional for the prototype)

6. Security Measures

Authentication server protects login data using secure token-based access
IoT communication is done over secured protocols
Only authorized devices and servers can access the system
